Welcome. These terms set out the simple ground rules for reading, submitting and sharing stories on our mythology and folklore blog. By using the site, browsing our archive or sending in a tale of your own, you agree to what's written here.
When you submit a story or request to be featured, we'll do our best to review it and hold your spot in the publishing schedule. If your plans change, please let us know as early as you can so we can offer that slot to another storyteller. We may release a reserved spot if we don't hear from you for a long stretch.
Story summaries and details are shared in good faith and may be updated as new sources, translations or research come to light. If a tale you were looking for has been moved, renamed or archived, we'll always point you toward the closest, most accurate version we have.
For custom retellings — a specific legend, a family folktale, a story for a special occasion — we ask for a few days' notice and may take a small deposit. If you need to cancel, get in touch as soon as possible and we'll be as flexible as we reasonably can.
You're welcome to browse, read and share our stories and pages. Please don't copy our retellings, artwork or original research for commercial use — including printed collections or other sites — without asking us first.
We take real care with every retelling, translation and detail on this site, cross-checking against old books and reputable sources wherever we can — but we can't promise the site will always be free of errors or interruptions. If something looks wrong, tell us and we'll put it right.
